This article treats each person's death as an individual life lost, describing in detail each stab-victim's life and appreciable contribution to the world. By creating a personal relationship between the reader and the victims of a bad Israeli Palestinian relationship, the reader is reminded that those dying are actual, relatable human beings, and is called upon to do something about this horrible relationship. However, it is not simply skillful rhetoric that should guilt the reader into doing something about these stabbings. It should not be that many people don't even believe healthy relationship between Israelis and Palestinians will someday exist. It is my duty as a Jew in Israel to care about what is occurring around me, and to maintain hope that this evil will no longer occur. If we do not hope, it will never cease to exist.

  1. I agree that merely a good article will not spur anyone into action—much more is needed. However, it is a start to recognizing the fact, and perhaps more progress will come from this. The first step can create consecutively bigger ripples, so eventually the problem will be solved, it is just a question of who will take initiative to continue the ripple effect.

  2. I agree as well that this will not spur anyone to action. It is hard to find something to help but a lot more is needed , We have spent so much time fighting it's hard to find a solution. I agree with the article in the fact that the violence will not solve anything . I agree in the fact that this article becomes more personal on the victims which is interesting, showing all the promise they had in their lives.
