This article treats each person's death as an individual life lost, describing in detail each stab-victim's life and appreciable contribution to the world. By creating a personal relationship between the reader and the victims of a bad Israeli Palestinian relationship, the reader is reminded that those dying are actual, relatable human beings, and is called upon to do something about this horrible relationship. However, it is not simply skillful rhetoric that should guilt the reader into doing something about these stabbings. It should not be that many people don't even believe healthy relationship between Israelis and Palestinians will someday exist. It is my duty as a Jew in Israel to care about what is occurring around me, and to maintain hope that this evil will no longer occur. If we do not hope, it will never cease to exist.

Israel Expectations

As an involved Jew, I've learned about Israel my entire life. I learned about Israel in school, and I've talked endlessly about Israel to those who have gone there. Everyone I've talked to has spoken about Israel in a distinct way, so I mindlessly synthesized their perspectives on Israel in order to create my own expectations. However, I must remember not to be restricted by others perspectives on Israel; my expectations need not fulfill how others perceive Israel. Rather, I must think interpret Israel on my own. This Israel experience will be only mine, not defined by others experiences .
